When is BMFMS & MOMS Annual Conference 2022?

MOMS Annual Conference 2022 will take place on Wednesday 16th November 2022.

BMFMS Annual Conference 2022 will take place on Thursday 17th – Friday 18th November 2022.

The morning session on Thursday 17th November will be a joint MOMS BMFMS Maternal Medicine Session. MOMS Conference ticket will also grant you access to the join the morning MOMS BMFMS Maternal Medicine session on November 17th.  If you wish to attend both the MOMS conference and BMFMS please book and register for each event.

Is BMFMS & MOMS Annual Conference 2022 a virtual, in-person or a hybrid event?

MOMS is an in-person event.

BMFMS Annual Conference 2022 is a hybrid event. If you wish to attend in person we encourage you to book early as in person places are limited.

Where is the event taking place?

BMFMS & MOMS Annual Conference 2022 will take place at Millennium Point, Curzon Street, Birmingham, B4 7XG

How can I get to Millennium Point?

The venue is approximately a ten-minute walk from the main commercial and retail city centre. Around Millennium Point are cycle stands.

The nearest train stations are Birmingham Moor Street Station and Birmingham New Street Station. It’s also within walking distance of Birmingham Snow Hill Station.

From the city centre to the Millennium Point entrance on Jennens Road, catch number 14 (stop BS7), 55/55A 90 or 94 (stop BS9).

Is there parking at Millennium Point?

There is a multi-storey car park owned and managed by Birmingham City Council situated adjacent to Millennium Point. The multi-storey car park has a height restriction of 2.1m (6’10”). The car park can be accessed via Curzon Street and Millennium Point is clearly signposted from all main routes into the city – simply follow the signs from the A4540 Ring Road.

In the interest of the environment, we encourage attendees to travel to Millennium Point by public transport.

Is Millennium Point easily accessible?

Will refreshments and lunch be provided?

Yes. Refreshments and a light lunch will be offered for those registered for MOMS Conference on Wednesday and BMFMS Conference on Thursday and Friday. Please indicate upon registration if you have any dietary requirements.

Will there be a networking/social Event?

Yes, those attending the MOMS Conference in person will be able to purchase tickets for the Conference dinner at BANK (Birmingham) on Wednesday 16th November. Please select the option ‘MOMS Conference Dinner’ when purchasing your conference ticket.

Those attending the BMFMS Conference in person will be able to purchase tickets for the Conference dinner on Thursday 17th November. Please select the option ‘BMFMS Conference dinner – 17th November @ The Studio’ when purchasing your conference ticket.

Is BMFMS & MOMS Annual Conference 2022 free to attend?

No. There is an attendance fee to attend BMFMS & MOMS Annual Conference 2022 when you pre-register to attend. Come and join us!

Who is the conference designed for?

MOMS Annual Conference 2022 will be of interest to all healthcare professionals who care for pregnant people and in particular we wish to reach a diverse group of healthcare professionals working in primary and secondary care, in acute hospital care and obstetrics.

BMFMS Annual Conference 2022 will be of interest to all those involved in pregnancy care and will include sessions on maternal and fetal medicine, pregnancy outcome and labour and delivery. The conference programme will also include tailored sessions led by trainees and midwives.

Do I need to register for particular sessions as part of the registration process?

Registration for BMFMS Conference in-person includes attendance/online access to all sessions on the programme. There will be two breakout sessions one for trainees and one for midwives. If you wish to attend these sessions in person you will need to register for these upon arrival on the Thursday morning as in-person places will be limited.

Can I register onsite?

In-person places for BMFMS and MOMS Conferences are limited and thus registration must be done in advance through the conference website. Registration for in person will close on Friday 11th November or when all places have been allocated.

What is the dress code?

The dress code for BMFMS & MOMS Annual Conference 2022 is Business Casual.

Is there a cloakroom?

Yes, a cloakroom will be available but space is limited.

The cloakroom will accept coats and jackets. In the interest of security, however, no bags or suitcases can be stored.

How can I book my accommodation?

The conference venue is in Birmingham city centre and thus there are many hotels to choose from. Delegates should arrange their own accommodation. Please, check here the nearest hotels to the venue.

Will I have access to the presentations post-event?

All delegates will have access to the BMFMS & MOMS conference website with links to presentations for one year after the event.

What COVID guidelines will be in place?

Although masks are not compulsory, we do encourage all attendees to wear a mask whenever and wherever possible. Hand sanitisers will be available throughout the event. This section will be updated with any change in guidance nearer the date.
